New Job Board Updates: Introducing Profiles

CONNECT V3 introduces a new way to apply to jobs and view outcomes through a profile system. The profiling system is attached to all jobs board channels to make for an easy and convenient experience all through Discord. Your profile will also be transferable to RETHINK when it launches and you’ll be considered an OG user!

You can now create a profile, attach your resume, view outcomes for job applications, and more effective way to manage applications for hirers!

Your profile

Welcome to your first look at Rethinkable profiles! Your profile is your future and current access card to applying to jobs with us. What fields do profiles have?

• About — introduce yourself, who you are, and what you do
• Skills — add hard and soft skills to show what you’re capable of
• Twitter — your Twitter link for contact purposes
• Discord — your Discord ID for contact purposes
• Timezone — where you’re based, sometimes this is important!
• Experience — what you’ve done in that past (in Web2 or Web3)
• Resume — you can now add a link to a resume, we suggest uploading your resume to a google drive if it’s in file format

Once you have a profile, you’ll be able to make actions such as: editing your profile, viewing your profile, viewing your applications/outcomes, and deleting your profile (if you so wish!) — all through Discord.

Application outcomes

You can now view what jobs you’ve applied for and the status of your application. Here’s what each status means:

• Pending — the employer has not viewed your application
• Shortlisted — you’ve been shortlisted for the role
• Declined — you haven’t been shortlisted for the role
• Closed — the job has been hired for

p.s. If you are shortlisted you can now view the Discord ID of who shortlisted you, so you can easily contact them if they don’t reach out.

How can you create a profile?

1. Go to any jobs board created by Rethinkable — if you haven’t seen one before you can find ours in https://discord.gg/rethinkable.
2. Find any job listing in our jobs board and click on “My Profile”, then “Create Profile”
3. Get started by filling in your about section, Twitter handle, and a link to your resume (we suggest to upload your resume to a google drive, make the link public, and paste it in — note resumes are optional)
4. Choose your timezone
5. Click on a category from the skills menu and select up to 10 skills — you can change from category to category via the category menu above the skills menu for that category
6. Add your Web2 and Web3 experience, you can add up to 5 experience fields by pressing the “+” button multiple times

Managing applicants

If you post a job listing and are viewing the applications you’ve received — you’ll now notice a shortlist and pass option on each application.

By pressing shortlist the application colour will change to green and the applicant will be sent your Discord ID, on the other hand if you press pass the embed will be deleted. As we’ve seen over 300+ applicants to certain positions, this will help you maintain a tidy hiring channel. This feature also lets use notify the applicants if they’ve been shortlisted or passed.
